Patronal Feast Day at Otrada

On Sunday, February 3, the day of the commemoration of the Icon of the Virgin called “Comfort” or “Consolation.” As the feast day was on a Sunday, we served a moleben in our Chapel after which a luncheon was served in our Banquet Hall. A special thank you to Fr. Seraphim Chemadakov for coming to serve on our special day!

ARAA-Otrada was proud to be an official site for the worldwide Total Dictation event which tests your Russian Language skills. Thank you to our member George Selinsky who coordinated, planned, and ran the event.
Rummage Sale 2019
June 21-23, 2019
ARAA - Otrada members held a Rummage Sale to benefit the Charitable work of our St Elizabeth Fund. All proceeds collected from the sale will go to help the needy (orphans, battered women shelters, special needs children and adults.... both here in the US and abroad).
Thank you to all those who donated items to sell; those who volunteered with the sale; and the many supporters who came to browse for and buy some treasures. Keep an eye on our Charities tab to see where the funds are donated...
Rummage Sale
Friday, June 22nd and 23rd, 2018
The American Russian Aid Assn - Otrada held its second annual Rummage Sale to benefit the Charitable work of our St Elizabeth Fund. Last year the funds we made from the sale helped special needs adults / children and rehabilitation centers in Belarus.
Thank you to all of the volunteers and those who donated. The benefits of this event would not have been possible without any of you.

Annual Russian Festival
Sunday, September 9th, 2018, 12:00pm-7:00pm
ARAA-Otrada welcomed hundreds of people to our property to enjoy a day full of Russian heritage. There was Russian food catered by Taste of Home. There was Russian music, dancing, and live entertainment, including Otrada's Tiny Puppet Theater, the Youth Ensemble Troika, and Youth Ensemble Kaleidoscope. There was a ballroom showcase followed by a ballroom masterclass, along with a raffle, lottery baskets, and vendor tables. Activities included face painting, a jumping castle, and various filed games.
